Naik haji merupakan rukun islam yang ke-5 dan termasuk rukun iman yang paling sulit untuk dilakukan. Hal ini dikarenakan untuk bisa naik haji diperlukan waktu yang cukup lama dan biaya yang tidak sedikit. Tapi selama ada niat, pasti apapun akan terjadi. Seperti yang dilakukan tukang becak ini.

Dikutip dari merdeka, Keinginan Seorang tukang becak bernama Maksun bin Wahab (79) untuk bisa naik haji, akhirnya terwujud pada tahun ini. Semua itu tidak luput dari perjuangannya selama 21 tahun.

Perjuangan tukang becak Maksum bin Wahab (79) berhaji menunjukkan bahwa jika sudah ada niat, tak ada yang tak mungkin. Keinginan untuk bertamu ke Tanah Suci, akhirnya terwujud tahun ini.

Warga Kapasan Samping, Kecamatan Simokerto, Surabaya, Jawa Timur ini rutin menyisihkan penghasilan untuk ditabung. Dari uang hasil mengayuh becak selama puluhan tahun, dia akhirnya masuk daftar jemaah calon haji 2017, kloter VI embarkasi Surabaya.

Tak lupa pula, kakek kelahiran Madura ini terus memanjatkan doa setiap hari. Meminta kemudahan rizki kepada Allah. Dirinya sempat berduka pada 1996 lalu, karena istri tercintanya sudah berpulang ke Rahmatullah. Sementara 6 anaknya sudah besar sehingga bisa hidup mandiri.

Sedangkan Maksum tetap bekerja sebagai pengayuh becak. "Saya tidak ingin merepotkan anak-anak. Saya tetap narik becak, meski istri saya sudah meninggal," katanya.

Di tengah kesendiriannya itu, muncul niat untuk berhaji ke Tanah Suci. Uang penghasilannya, sedikit demi sedikit dia tabung. Baru sekitar Tahun 2010, Maksum memutuskan pergi ke bank. Dirinya diantar menantunya untuk bisa membuka rekening khusus ONH (ongkos naik haji). "Setoran pertama waktu itu, Rp 800 ribu. Saya bilang ke petugas bank, uang itu untuk naik haji," ucapnya mengingat-ingat.

Dan sejak hari itu, tiap sebulan sekali Maksum pergi ke bank menyetor uang. "Setornya tidak mesti, kadang Rp 500 ribu, kadang Rp 1 juta. Tergantung rezeki narik becak," katanya. "Dan Alhamdulillah, tahun ini saya dipanggil berangkat ke Tanah Suci," tandasnya.

Dengan begitu, Maksum-pun segera menggelar hajatan di rumahnya yang berada di gang sempit sebagai ungkapan rasa syukurnya. Tak hanya sanak saudara yang dia undang, semua warga kampungnya dia undang.
